Colors Petels of Spring and Summer

Purple petals and lilies are one of the most popular flower landscaping themes. These beautiful flowers have been used for thousands of years to improve the look of a home or garden. The exotic and evergreen purple flower is perfect for landscaping because of its many colors, shapes, textures and foliage.

Florist often times plant lilies and petals together making them appear larger than they really are. Purple and blue flowers are a very attractive combination in any garden. Both colors are vibrant and stand out in any garden or flower bed. Purple petals are usually planted in large groups on tall stems while blue flowers are usually planted as singles or scattered around in a flower garden. Both purple and blue flowers are a spectacular focal point in a flower garden or arbor. Blue flowers also look good planted amongst white photos and other African ornamental plants.

If you would like to add a sense of texture and drama to your landscaping with flowers then the perennial clematis is an ideal choice. This beautiful perennial flowering plant can be used to border garden beds, plant perennials or as an interesting decorative feature in a larger garden. The vivid purple petals of the clematis create a stunning border for a shaded corner or a shady spot in your garden.

If you are concerned about the appearance of your flower petals in an area that receives a lot of sunlight, then the lilacs are an excellent choice. These lovely, long-lasting flowers will stay green all year round providing outstanding coverage in the deeper summertime as well as the cooler spring months. lilacs are very hardy plants and will thrive in most well-drained soils. They do not do well in heavy clay soils, so they prefer slightly less-drained lawns and acidic sand soils. The long-lasting, bright purple petals will last for many years.

Sun Needs-Lilacs need only about six hours of sun each day in the southern states but can tolerate exposure to sunlight for longer periods in the north. Different flowers will flower at different times of the day so pay special attention to when they are blooming. The best time to visit your local garden centre to purchase your flowers is in the late winter or early spring. The sun needs to be just a little stronger than southern states during these periods.

Shrub-Like Plant Varieties-The shrubs are popular landscaping plant varieties because of their hardy nature and tolerance for low fertility. They can survive even the hottest summers and the coldest winters. Some varieties are ornamental even in the shade and can be used to border beds, walls and driveways.

Perennial-Flowers and foliage will grow back year after year with very few interruptions, making them a great choice for gardeners with few growing seasons. Lantana, creeping phlox, creeping Ivy and pansies are some perennials that are popular. Shrub varieties can be used in borders, in the yard and along paths. Other perennials are popular for containers such as containers grown in potted beds or containers on patios.

Fall Colors-Many flowers display wonderful colors throughout the fall, colors associated with the seasons of snow, rain, and wind. Flowers and foliage in full bloom from early to late September in New England to late October in the South will show the colors associated with the season of fall. Autumn flowers are typically warm-orange, deep-green foliage and fragrant, orange flowers. Fall foliage will turn yellow as the leaves transition to the color of the fallen foliage.

Spring Colors-The blooms of spring flowers are colorful and vibrant with intense colors ranging from white, green, yellow, orange and pink flowers. The blossoms will open up and the colors will change quickly as the day wears on. The colors will usually peak in the early morning and continue to change throughout the day. Spring blossoms are typically very bright and will produce a wonderful, fragrant flower.

Seasonal Flowers-The flowers that bloom during particular times of the year are referred to as seasonal flowers. Most are not hardy and are not able to withstand cold winters. These flowers are mainly found in landscaping flowerbeds and borders.

Spring and Summer are considering the best times to enjoy the beauty of flowers, with Fall being the exception. Different flowers require different conditions to grow well and bloom at their fullest. For example, tulips and dahlias require well-drained soil to grow properly and bloom full. Sunflowers, most garden herbs, blueberries, peonies, sunflowers, chrysanthemums and some sunflowers are considering shade-loving flowers, and they do well in shady areas of the garden or backyard.
