Cheap Bedding Plants For Your Flower Garden

Cheap bedding plants are great for any type of home or indoor landscaping project. Not only are they cheap and easy to obtain, but they can be a focal point in your landscaping scheme. Cheap bedding plants, such as calendulas and geraniums indoors, make beautiful additions to indoor floral displays. On the other hand, if you’re going to use inexpensive bulbs or pots in your flower landscape, you may want to use something else to define it as a space rather than a focal point. There are many options, however, and a little research will yield beautiful results that you can display and enjoy.

Geraniums and rex begonias are both attractive plants to use indoors. Many people who grow these plants prefer to grow them indoors because they are simple to keep and inexpensive. The truth is that these plants look fantastic when they are planted in pots indoors because they have that wonderful sunny look indoors even in the winter. This type of plant also performs well when moved to an outdoor garden space as long as you don’t dry out the roots by putting them into direct sun.

Both tuberous begonias and rhizomatous begonias can be grown from seed. However, you will find that seedlings take time to appear. A good tip is to get a large pot so that your plant will have room to grow. When you’re sure that your new plant will take root, put it in a shaded area indoors until it gets comfortable. Both types of flowers should have no problem surviving a move to a new place.

To make your cheap landscaping with flowers easy, choose ones that will grow well together. Roses are a good choice to pair with small calcarea, azaleas, orchids and lilies. If you’re going with the herb garden route, herbs such as basil, marjoram, parsley, oregano and thyme will grow nicely with most plants. Other good combinations for landscaping with flowers are bee balm, chrysanthemum, sweet pea, sweet marigold, coltsfoot and daisy.

Some cheap bedding plants that also make great landscaping plants are African violet, cosmos, evening primrose, and phlox. African violets, with their beautiful purple flowers, are great for landscaping. They’re not hardy at all, so be careful if you plant them outdoors. The same is true for Cosmos, although you can buy artificial Cosmos that look very similar. You’ll have to be careful when growing these plants indoors, because they’re quite delicate.

Some flowers that come in smaller containers are perfect as cheap flower garden plants. One of these is the pennywort, which comes in a variety of colors. Another flower garden plant that is cheap and easy to care for is the California poppy. The only problem with the California poppy is that it’s quite susceptible to cold winters.

Most of these inexpensive plants are hardy enough to be planted in regular flower gardens. You just need to be careful about how you prune them. Many people prune their plants to remove any dead branches or leaves, but this actually deters birds from visiting the flower garden, because they don’t get to see those leaves. Cut the branches, but leave the tree attached to the support. If you have a nice sunny backyard, you won’t have a problem with winter visitors.

Some cheap bedding plants are more expensive because they come with matching blooms or plants. Try to find a combination of blooms and foliage that match in color, so that the plants complement each other. For instance, if you buy a purple pot with pink flowers, you should find a matching pair of purple or pink flowers that are in bedding.
